Red Movilidad exceeds 3,000 electric buses and achieves the best citizen evaluation in its history
- The transition to clean transport continues to mark milestones: more than half of users rate the service with a score of 6 and 7, which reached a historic 5.7 in the evaluation of its routes.
- Satisfaction goes hand in hand with the 3,125 electric buses in operation reached during September and the incorporation of more women drivers.
September 10, 2025.– The Red Movilidad system once again experiences a high valuation of public transport, which according to the latest Operator Companies Satisfaction Study 2025, obtained the best citizen evaluation in its history with a score of 5.5 in the system and 5.7 in the routes, figures that consolidate the confidence of users. More than half (51%) rated the system with a grade of 6 or 7, and 63% did the same with their usual route. This intermediate satisfaction survey included the analysis of 1,000 people and provides key evidence to continue advancing in improvements to public transport.
These results come in parallel with the consolidation of electromobility in the capital: the system surpassed a new record, reaching 3,125 electric buses in operation, a big jump from the 779 that circulated in March 2022. In addition, there are 39 electroterminals in operation (there were 10 in 2022) and which are projected to reach 55 by March 2026, which consolidates Red as a benchmark in the transformation of urban transport.
The latest renovation, carried out at the beginning of September, incorporated more than 270 electric buses in communes such as Pudahuel, Cerro Navia, La Florida, Puente Alto, San Bernardo and Quinta Normal, expanding coverage and benefiting thousands of residents with more modern, safe and sustainable transportation.
Along with this, the X-ray of the use of means of transport by Chileans 2025 also reveals that, at the national level, 57.9% of the Metropolitan Region uses buses as a regular means of transport during the week, well above the 33.7% who travel by car, consolidating the strategic role of the Network for urban mobility.
With these advances, Red Movilidad reaffirms its leadership in the transition to clean and sustainable public transport, positioning Santiago as a benchmark for electromobility in Latin America and worldwide.
